North: Mediterranean Sea (from the southern point of the Gulf of Sidra, near Marsa al Burayqah, Libya, east to the eastern corner of the Nile delta at Port Said).
To the north, across the Mediterranean Sea: Hellas, Anatolia.
East: Suez Canal, Gulf of Suez, Red Sea.
To the east: the province of the East and, across the Red Sea, Incognita (Arabia).
South: the Nile to the first cataract near Aswan.
To the south: Incognita (Sahara).
West: the Sahara Desert.
To the west: Carthaginia, Incognito (Sahara).
