We gathered to go to the Deaf Bible Camp through the jungle and villages. Almost everyone who
attended were deaf, apart from myself the founder and a few other missionaries who attended.
Many traveled up to 12 hours by bus and car to get the Missions Headquarters where we rondevued.
Not only were most of them deaf but only a handfull spoke Spanish only and only a select few who
were not deaf spoke some English. One of the deaf leaders communicated writing in English.
Thanks to God I was able to communicate in Sign and Spanish to the deaf culture and minister the
word of God.
The first picture is the host family where I stayed while I made my transition from the states to
Columbia and the tall gray-haired man in black suite is the founder, both of his parents were born
deaf, but he was not. He founded Deaf Missions Int'l & it has helped so many in the deaf culture to
come to know God thru His son Jesus Christ.
